Hey Lance...it took me a minute to figure out why you posted this in OOTB and then I realized you were on the lamb from the Head Angle Police!
I do like the angle of the head here but the eye is not well sharpened and the whites on some of his feathers are a bit hot, as is the perch. You might try toning down some of the higher tones and see if you like that better. I think it will add a little richness to your image.
Any idea what's on his beak? Do I even want to ask???
Hi Julie - I always post my funimages in here - no detail left in the eye area to sharpen, its a fairly large crop as well.
He's trying to clean the knotted blood out of his feathers and got his beak stuck.
As far as the HAP go - I think I have a better understanding now of the HA reqirements (previously I had been taking all my que's from the ETL forum - broaden my scope a bit and studied the comments in the open forum regarding HA and think I now understand better) For instance in the past most images with the bird looking at the camera I thought were wrong.
I wont give up - stay tuned for more posts.
:)
The bird certainly is a mess. And yes, here, the head needed to be parallel to the imaging sensor... No hiding from the HAP...
You can run but you cant hide :) :) :) :) :)
