Great focus on the subject, the eye, with the diagonals created by the wings. Very nice.

What an awesome capture! So tight and well balanced for my taste. :) I do wish there was more detail on the underwing, but can imagine how fast the action was. And I am not sure if any flash unit could keep up with a fast frame rate.
The eye is the icing on the cake. :)

I'm very taken with the patterns on the wings made by the different coloured feathers. It almost looks like an oil painting. Love the eye sharpness and red ring.
