While waiting for the sunrise to come on the Columbia River near Portland, OR, my fellow workshop participants were all setting up facing to the east. I saw these posts and submerged pier softly lit by the pre-dawn sky, and took this photo looking west. My colleagues and our instructor wondered what I was doing. I was just getting a shot that they weren't!

Bruce, I love the lighting on the pier posts! This is probably one of those images where, as soon as you saw it, you knew it needed to be converted because it is so perfect for it. The only thing that distracts my eye is the one section to the right that looks like something just dropped into the water - not sure what it is. The ripple doesn't bother me as that draws my eye out off the pier and into the horizon but that one "splash" might be better cloned out or better defined.
Wonderful mood you captured here...very "reflective"...excuse the pun. :D

HI Bruce It does pay to look around !!!!
Love the soft light and it was a natural for the conversion !!!! If the object in the water was a bit away from the ripples would leave. Great feel !!!!
