HI Kevin ... almost " Dorian style " if not the same in terms of low POV and shallow DOF .
The water dripping from the beak is cool .
Tones and BG colors looking good ... but the color balance in the subjects is off for me personally . A lot of blue/magenta visible ... The whites on the males neck look plain white and featureless ... they look like blown .

Andreas I agree after looking, on the blue magenta For the whites on the male their is a small section in the middle of the neck blown on the raw file. But even if it weren't blown I don't think your going to see any details with the dof. Appreciate the comments .
White-balance on the subjects aside, this is very nice. Good reflection, nice water flowing down the bill. The whites can be tough on this species, but yes, you could tone down the ones on the male's chin/neck. Beautiful BG and FG colours.
I really like the composition and the low angle. My first reaction was to look at the plumage in the female, it looks rather blue to me.
I like the dripping water and the OOF male in the background.
