They are very beautiful and very quick in flight .10000 iso did very well in that lack of light. I must say everything I read about this 'combo 'is very positive and this bears it out'
Beautiful portrait - the details and colors are really striking! My biggest issue is the crop as you have the bird looking into the short side of the frame. I think you should slide the bird right, lose some of the lower back, and give him more room to the left.
Thanks for the comments. Dorian, I debated as we all do about the crop and got sucked in by the rule of thirds with the eye near an intersection.
Agree with your suggestion.
Excellent details and color. Love this species. I agree with Dorian about the bird looking into the short side. Would be an easy fix to add some canvas to the LHS.
Hi Colin they are so no nice these Lorikeets !!!
Nice side profile and you have some nice details , good handling of the high iso ....kudos on that front . Sharpening does look good
Image , as posted , looks a bit flat to me and i would ask myself is the skin area around the eye and between the bill that " blue " . I would expect the area to be neutral dark , almost black .
I would nagree woith the others about the crop .

nice colors and details, looks like you got a hang of the processing. I agree cropping isa bit awkward making the angle appear a bit steep. wish the eye was perfectly round the moment you pressed the shutter
