Hi folks ... nothing really exciting on this posting , I guess .
I think I just created a " picture postcard " image ... funny enough , never tried to take images of the Mute Swan . Mostly they have been farther away or something else was " wrong " , in my opinion .
But this time the time was just right ... and I invested a bit of my time at the local lake , to create some " classy " stuff .

Yo BD!!! :bg3: I am a sucker for white of blue, for sure.
You composed this one beautifully. I love that we have very nice dof here; particularly that the body and head and beak (even to the tip) are largely IF. That makes the neck being oof much more tolerable and, frankly, irrelevant IMO.
Love that little dab of ice or fluff on the top of the beak, sweet touch.
Only things I could offer are (minor nit) to take out that small black dot on the neck. Did you try any channel blending (i.e. apply image) to the base of the neck near the wing? Could possible grab some detail there. You could also opt to take a little blue out of the chest shadows if you wish.
Very nice indeed, tfs amigo!!

This is absolutely stunning! I love all the details on the black patch at the base of the bill and the creamy white head.

Hi Andrea, your image looks like one of the Mute Swans on Lake Morton here. Really elegant birds. I like the image, the elegance of these birds is shown. I think with careful processing you can get more from the image, especially the area opposite your watermark. Your image makes me want to drive to Lake Morton and give the swans a go. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks folks for your kind comments , much appreciated .
@ Brian and Joe ... you are right about the " hot " area , how could this happen to me :w3:t3. Forgot to use a mask on one layer .... Reading the blues , Brian ; I am 50/50 on that front .... but see where you are coming from .
Cheers Andreas

Nothing to add here, except a very elegant image with good suggestions offered. It's nice to concentrate on the local common stuff at times!
