From Brigantine a few mornings ago. Tide was in, so the peeps were clustered on some rock outcrops. Isolating one from the cluster took a bit of patience.

Nice soft light. Like the stone perch and the dark water which makes him pop. TFS.
Nice to see one on a "perch". Great view of the feet here. The dark water BG and sweet light hitting the peep make for a great combo.
Very nice look at this guy, Bill. The rock is a nice change and the BG is really attractive. Lovely head angle and lighting. Only thing I would want would be a bit more of the rock below and a bit less water above.
Bill, gorgeous subject in gorgeous light!
Love the subtle wake effect in the bkg. The head angle slightly toward the camera is great as well.
Agree with Dorian, slight crop adjustment could bump up an already great frame.
TFS!
A perfect field guide portrait of a moderately worn juvie. I am perfectly fine with the image design as presented.
with love, artie
Great pose on that rock. Nice light as well.
Thank you all. I would have included a bit more of the rock, but there was a distracting dark shadow from an adjacent rock just below my crop line.
