It was already mid-morning here, but oddly hazy conditions made for subdued light and cool yellowish skies. At his point, the egret was practically crossing the sun, and a neat "see-through" on the wings was created. It was a surprise fly-by, and too close, therefore some canvas was added all around for better comp. Something different, hope you like!
Canon 7DII + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC III, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/2500s., f/6.3 (don't ask), ISO 400, natural light, handheld, deepened the blacks and added more contrast than usual (raw file was correctly "washed out".

A pleasing shot and a bit out of the box, nice to see.

I think this is really cool Daniel! Love the backlight in this and the angle of flight and position of the bird. Not something many would have seen and photographed. Nicely done!

Daniel, kudos for you for even taking this frame. Not sure I would have, but I must say it really works well.
I love the x-ray theme and the effect you produced here. Composition is great too, well done!

Neat frame. You might try blackening the belly, face, and neck ...
