I captured this image at a stop along Blackpoint Wildlife Drive in Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge on Merritt Island, Florida. I cropped a portion of a spoonbill closeup for the theme this month. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

Sorry Joe this doesn't work for me, it looks cropped and nothing like the IQ of your previous post.

Hi Joe, I like the patterns in this, but the detail is really lost compared to most of your posts.

Hi Jon and Kurt, thanks for viewing and commenting. I agree with your assessment regarding detail and sharpness. It was an idea I had for the theme but on second thought not a good idea. Pretty big bird with focus point on the eye area so the side feathers would not be as sharp. I was fixated on the pattern of colors. Thanks again...

I was going to post something similar of a GBH! I like the colours and patterns, but as noted the IQ is just not there. I hope you get the chance to try again on a closer individual!

Hi Dan, thank for viewing and commenting. I hear your comments and your right. This spoon bill was so close I could only capture the head and body, but the focus point was on the eye/head. Maybe another trip to Blackpoint I will see another as close and think of a feather scape also.

ps: I actually love the tight crop and image design.
