This foraging individual was surrounded by an interesting pastel shade of cyan/blue caused by an oddly hazy and very thinly covered mid-morning light a couple of weeks ago. One of those days where you could look directly into the sun without burning your eyes:c3:
Canon 7DII + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC III, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/1600s., f/5.6, ISO 800, natural light, handheld while lying prone in the shallow water, about 85% FF.
Love the subject placement and posture. All else is perfect too.

Nice Dan love the blues and pastel look. As mentioned I think the reeds add to the image along with the green. That is the kind of light we live for makes a great image. Framing is right on. TFS
The comp with the grasses and hunting post are simply as good as it gets for this kind of photo..
