Hi folks ... not the easiest subject to get a clean shot , the Spotted Eagle Owl , specially not during day time .
Found this specimen in an Accacia tree in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park at a picnic spot , so I was able to get out of the car and get a " cleaner " shot through all those spiky twigs .
By knowing that most of you might complain about the rather cluttered image , I do not care much .... but feel free to complain about it :w3. In the end I had no other choice .
Image is slightly cropped and the URC is a bit manicured ....

No complaining here. The o-o-f twigs are what they are: very distracting. Especially the vertical one going up the bird's left wing. At least most of the bird is spotlit.

It is a fine record shot of this bird which I would keep if I did not have any, but I would not post it, the branches ruin it, it is not a good photo... A birders photo.

I'm with Dan here, I'm a birder first and have great difficulty resisting posting birder shots, that might be of great interest to me.

Thanks a bunch for your feedback ....
Not being a birder at all , nor being a avian specialist .... feathered friends are just a side product when options are there . I rather prefer to shoot wildlife ....
