This is very nice John. Love the pose, sharpness and overall composition. I also think the FG colour/texture, and smooth BG add to the image. TFS
Hi John looks good overall .
I do like the layers of FG and BG , lovely colors and good tonal range showing up.

Excellent John, that MkIII is delivering very well indeed.
Sweet look at this Least John.
Very earthy feel in terms of tones and the even light really helped. Nicely exposed and typically sharp.
Small nit, but I'd consider nixing the little pine needle looking grass at right. Otherwise an enjoyable frame!
Nice sharp look at the bird - well exposed too - but the foreground is really heavy and overpowers the bird to some degree. Lotta OOF stuff to contend with as well. For a static shot like this, I'd like to see the bright orange feet.
Love, love, love the tones and details on this canvas. TFS
Going slightly higher I think John so you see more of the leg and less of the mush FG, agree its a tad dominant.
Jon, it's the Dog's ........ far better than 1 & 2 and just delivers constantly and high ISO knocks the spots off others.Quote:

If the foreground was less "busy" this angle would have worked, but in this case I agree with Dorian. Great job on the tern, and the background is buttery sweet.
