This image was created from a boat on the Okavango River in Botswana. The eagles have become habituated to fishermen and have learnt to snatch up any discarded bait thrown overboard. We baited this guy with a fish, he came in so close I could literally feel the wind of his wings in my face!

Good sharpness Chris. Noise is well-controlled. Whites look a little hot up top. Love the leading talons! I wish the eye contact were better, and a lower angle would have been nice. Thanks for posting!

Wonderful action, love the extended talons and wing stretch!!! I also think the angle could be better but it does make for a dramatic image.
Nice catch!!!!

The pose and stretched out talons are very cool. I wish for a frame taken earlier in this series. What are the colors in the BG, reflection of the boat?

This is a superb catch, sharp and lots of details. I am sure it must have been great to get really close to these raptors regardless of how habituated to fishermen they are.
