Again, one from the archives, shot very early in the morning whist walking through Regents park in late November. Just loved the strong, rich, vibrant, orange colours, almost out of camera, just needed to bring a little zing to the orange. You also start to see some of the iridescent colours around the neck, he wasn't the only one that was cold that morning...

I like the iris and the purple tinge in the feathers, limited DOF works well and keeps the viewer's concentrated on the head.

Hi Steve ... not the most spectacular subject , but you created a nice image .
Super tones and colors , the eye is great as is the orange BG . Intense shot ....
On the other hand , I have these creatures around our i.e. railway stations in mind .... can't help .
A different story with ( for me ) foreign doves , while I am in Africa . That's how it is for me .... sorry dove :w3
Nicely processed BTW

I don't mind the subject...to me, all birds are beautiful if you photograph them correctly....Great pose Steve and the detail you have on the head area looks real good. Something different, and I like it. Gentleman Jim.

The orange eye is very neat. I like the framing and the background.

Thanks folks, just looking at trying to create something a little different with the available lighting conditions.
