Hi folks , a short break from South Georgia and visiting Namibia .
Image taken in the Waterberg NP in the east of Namibia ... was very happy to find a flock of these lovely little parrots .
Quiet noisy these guys ..... remembered me of my youth times , as I kept two pairs of them at home . Never bred them sadly .... for whatever reason it did not work , had several clutches of eggs but no hatchlings .

Amazing that you posted this today as I am in the process of planning a Madagascar/South Africa/Namibia trip right now! I saw images of these guys on the ground, and I was thinking how a low-angle like this would work. The answer is very well! Super sharp with beautiful light and color. Well done!

You nailed that on Andreas, cool colours with fine detail.
You might want to address the small OOF area, about 70mm below the beak...??? :bg3:
Some fond memories that year.

Nice low POV, good techs, pp, etc. We have these guys in Arizona too and they are really noisy. But I like their sound. Nice work on this the low POV works well.

Hi Kurt ... thanks for your comment , much appreciated .
What are they doing in Arizona ??? Bet they have been kept as pets , in the past . And some of them disappeared into the wild ....
