Dropped by a friend's home for a morning coffee, the Goldfinch came in and gave me a great view in morning sun at his backyard feeder. Shaded areas would have been avoided but I had no time to dig flash unit out, which I've started to carry movement would have scared him away.

He looks good......quite colorful and nicely posing for you. I think that the yellows are blown as there's no detail. I used to think that I could only blow whites until I photographed some yellow birds like the goldfinches......and red birds as well. The rest of the image looks good.....just those yellows that seem problematic.

Nice image of the little guy, but agree with Lana that the yellows are probably blown in places.

Very nice capture. The BG goes well with the bird :).

A lovely male, and very sharp but images of birds on feeders do not ring my bell. The great contrast here is detrimental. To bring back some detail in the very bright yellows, go to HUE-SAT and try reducing the SAT of the yellow channel about 15-20 points...
