About the coolest duck I think, I have seen about twice.
The whites look blown here, but I am not sure they are.
I would lower exposure.
Outstanding angle, Very good closeup. Crop is perfect.
Thanks Dan the whites range from 234- 237 . I used a curves adjustment to lower the values sometimes I use a exposure brightness adjustment. I need to learn a luminosity mask. Do you have any suggestions. I do think I lost some details in the whites.
Kevin, one of my favorite waterfowl. I personally love the contrast between body and bkg.
In our area sometimes the bill appears a super bright blue. May be different in your area or maybe lighting in the photo, or habitat. Either way, nicely done!
love the low angle, plumage is sharp but the whites are flat although the RGB value is not over they have zero detail. this happens when the RAW is blown beyond sensor clipping point and recovery is used in post processing

Love everything about this frame except the lack of detail on the whites.
Great low POV. Perfect HA.
I also like the pinkish/peachy hue in the BG.
If the whites are not blown on the RAW then a luminosity mask would do the trick.

Love this canvas overall, the low POV, the colors and details overall. Also love that eye and I'd bet there is more detail to be had in the cheek. TFS
Thanks Arash original file is mostly mid 240 range and as low as 236 high in one spot 250. I see more detail in the raw than my processed file.
The low angle is spot on as is the pose on the duck. I see these ducks all the time as dots through my binoculars.
Handsome shot of this handsome little duck. Good POV, nice pose and comp. Good suggestions about the whites; some detail there would raise this a notch or two.
Kevin, If you'd like, please send me the RAW file via a large file server to samandmayasgrandpa@att.net. I'd love to see what's going on with this image.
with love, artie
