Shot in Santa Anna refuge Tx February. Processed with Dpp 4 and Photoshop,Neat Image. Comments and critique appreciated. I think I brought out the black detail better than the previous one and still not happy with the white values. But I am getting close to blowing the highlights. Also added canvas to the right side.

Lovely low shooting angle, head angle is great. Still looks a little warm regarding the WB but that may have been the light at the time - making the whites totally neutral produces quite a cold shot.
Blacks look good, I think you've just about got the whites right.
Do you have any more in the sequence with a more exaggerated walking pose? Its - IMHO - often nicer to see shore birds walking with one foot out in front of the other (minor point).
Overall, a nice frame

Your whites have a bit of yellow caste to me but the brightness looks right, easy tweak.

Strong look at this guy. Exposure looks good, and the details across the bird are excellent. To me, the frame has a pinkish cast - the water in particular - which is probably imbued by the horizontal sun. The bird is a bit tight in the
frame for me. This species/individual is upright enough that a standard 3x2 with more room above and below might look better.

Black Necked Stilt.
Here is a second revision. I still think it has a cast just different. Made a curves adjustment using the eye dropper and moving around different areas of the blacks.

Hi Kevin, nice image of a stilt. This image looks good, it is about where I would leave it and call it done. Thank you for sharing.

Nice low angle. Maybe a touch more below. Like the framing and the light.

The repost is better IMO, much better blues to the water. I like the low angle and details. Nice red iris as well.
