I like the foraging position.
I have never been a fan of that ripply water -personal preference.
Nice light. The image could go a little bit warmer or have the saturation increased slightly.

Nice composition, pose, well exposed. I don't mind this type of beaten bronze water surface. Agree with Gail about warming it up a few degrees.

I kinda like the ripply water texture and love the pose. Yes to a bit of warmth.
Beautiful capture John and love all the detail from the feathers to the legs. I sort of like the darkness gives that moody feeling. TFS
An even lower angle would have been terrific, but that's just me:t3. Sharp, and the egret very intent on its' potential prize is good. I like the little drops near the foot.
