Lovely image of a Great Blue Heron. I know that area of Ft. Desoto well. I like the way the grass blends into the blue of the sky. Thank you for sharing, John.
Nice image of the Great Blue. Like the warm glow of the early morning.Grasses represent the natural habitat of the Herons as they blend in well.Also like the wispy feathers coming off the breast.Not sure if it is sky in the background as I thought water on first impression. But works well either way. TFS
Beautiful light and habitat. I love the shaggy neck feathers. Good call on the vertical comp. Looks like it may need a touch of CCW rotation, at least judging from the bottom part of the image.
