John:
Nice exposed, like the cascading water on rock, soft water behind, angle in frame.
A bit lower would have been nice, but I suspect that isn't possible there. From what I have heard, a challenging spot to move about at.
Cheers
Randy
More nice work John, you're on a good roll! I might be tempted to lose some of the specular highlights, one o the end of the bill, the others by and on the legs. Other than that, nice light, nice bird angle to the sensor, and a nice shot
Mike
Very nice John.
I would clean up the catchlight in the eye and clone out the one specular highlight on the bill.
I really like the diagonal line created by the rock and love the water flowing over the rock.
Also very nice how the head has cleared the rock and is nicely framed by the pretty water color.
I feel like this could use a bit of "pop". I would add a point of black to the neutrals in selective coloring.
I would also brush the white oval spot near the birds left foot to reduce the impact of the white.
Well done,
Gail
Wonderful use of the perch and water to lead your eyes to this beauty within this composition. In this case, I don't think lower is better. The details right down to the wet beak are spot on. TFS
Looks great John. I like the pose and the fact that the head in the pretty water BG. Maybe a little slide on the darks in levels will give it just a bit more pop. Well done
