On a very and universally grey day I was looking away from the sunless East and this lady came straight over the top of me snapping her beak like a sort of ratchet maybe 6ft over my head.I never saw her coming. Then she wheeled around and came straight for me again .This time I lifted up the camera she went straight past this time a few feet higher up. Luckily the light was nearly the same almost everwhere.I Have removed what she really thought of me several feet below her tail feathers!.In three seasons we have never seen her eerie which is somewhere up in the cliffs above but she fledged two healthy young last Southern spring.[Nov].
I like the capture defensive tactic protecting her young.For me the colors look muted.Also some noise. TFS

Wicked pose indeed! Yes, the blacks do seem to need darkening for more "pop" to the image, and there is noise to be dealt with. But man, that stare is mesmerizing :S3:.

Yes it looks "Thin" lacking contrast and bolder blacks.
I showed this to you when you were here but its been a while. I want you to try a tool in PS called "AutoTone" It's located at the top bar under "Image"
It allows you to see what the program thinks the tones and contrast should look like. Not always perfect but it give you some good direction.
This one was perfect and I wanted you to see what a one stroke adjustment did for this image. All I did was hit "Auto Tone" Done!!
