I guess like so many of us, under this current enforced confinement, it does make you look back at old files, so lets use this time to good use and where possible, keep processing & posting, it's a great opportunity as we have been saying in the Wildlife Forum. :S3:
The shot was taken whilst out shooting Hares, as I moved slowly it caught his attention and he began to posture upwards. Not a great or exciting image, but I quite liked the rich colours. Hopefully I will get back out again in the coming weeks, as both Hares & Pheasants seem be be out and about and the 1DX MKIII is itching too, but does need to go back to Canon for some tweaks as usual.
Thanks to those who viewed or commented on the previous posting.

Hey Steve, beautiful Pheasant. It reminds me of when younger and living in New Hampshire. It was sport to go into the fields and flush Pheasants. Techs spot on as always. Thank you for sharing.

As you've already said, the thing that strikes me are the wonderful colors. The view of the eye and those rich feather patterns make it exciting for me. TFS

Yes, the colours are striking. Great feather detail, pose and HA. The BG contrasts nicely. My only nitpic is the oof grass at the lower chest area, but it's great as is. TFS

Steve:
I grew up with pheasants, and miss seeing them. This is a beauty, with remarkable feather detail, colors, background. Thanks for the memories!
Cheers

Nice view of this pheasant. Framing is right on as is the detail. I see these birds once in awhile. They are not friendly by any means. Usually just a glimpse.
