On the evening I created the previous posted ibis and this one, I finally had begun my foray into manual exposure. The previous post(a different bird) had the bird in the very late sun spot light with pond apple branches in the shadows. This one had bird and branches in the shade at same time of day. Both in manual mode. I have always feared manual mode and found it to be way less daunting than expected. I believe I will now change from aperture priority for quick exposure compensation to manual with auto ISO. Mostly I will try to use full manual(much practice needed) as in these two ibis posts.

I like the idea here and the body looks good, just need to see a bit more of the legs and perch imo. Should be able to bring them out in post.

Love the low key effect here. Nice pose and that dark background really makes this stand out. Like the framing.
