Very nice indeed Colin, I like the colours and exposure, I would possible brighten the eye a teeny weeny bit. I really like the details in the plumage. It was unfortunate you didn't manage to get a portrait image orientation at capture.
Thanks Jon, you are correct, I have to remember to change to vertical in these situations.

Thanks for all the comments. Gabriella, I was about 5 meters away and sitting, about level with the bird. Background is the water with small waves.
