This Cocky came down to the salt water's edge to browse on some sea lettuce.

Lots of PP for this one.
Cropped to feature that lovely crest and cut out the shaded lower parts.
H&S to remove a blue cast in the shadows and a red cast (rock reflection) in the lower body.
De-saturated the blue BG and a little bit of NR.
Dodged the eye to bring out the iris.
Light sharpen on the bird.
Wicked bird in what seems to be strange habitat. The image is well-processed. Bummer that the bird is looking out to sea.

Quite a bird. Side lighting made it tricky, and some of the brightest areas seem to be on the edge. A slight head turn toward you would have helped, but might not have shown the remarkable crest so well.
As noted, a little better head angle would have been nice. I would probably be inclined to crop this to 4x3 to remove a little from the top.
Love that hair do. Nice detail on the bird. Agree more of a head turn towards you would have been ideal.
