Thanks Artie, I did get as much as I could out of that eye area, there's a bit of a depression there so deep shadow.

Thanks for sending the RAW file. I reworked the image from scratch doing the conversion in Capture One and lightened the face and did the Eye Doctor work in Photoshop. The image quality is not good because you cropped away about 90% of the pixels ... In general, it is best to avoid cropping away more than 20% of the pixels, even with high megapixel cameras like the 5D Mark IV.
