John nice set up shot, nice perch, colors, BG, HA & details.

Lovely shot John! Beautiful bird and great set up. No nits from me.
I like the balance between the finch and the ball of lichen. Nice curve the the perch too - and bonus that it sat in the dip for you. I could see a minor tweak to the comp where about 1/3 is taken off the space below the tail and added back above (pointing your lens up a bit). Nicely done overall.
Like this setup image, John. Very nice detail throughout, great perch, and I agree with Daniel that it was nice of him to perch in the dip.

This is lovely John!
I love how the lichen on the left balances the image.
Love the comp.
No nits from me!

Super nice John, well done.
This is as good an image as I've seen of this often overlooked but very pretty species! The perch and composition are lovely, and you couldn't have asked for a clearer or more appropriate background. Details are sharp throughout the entire frame. You might have the room to add 1/3 stop of light, if you wanted.
Excellent job of choosing the perch. Daniel's suggestion on the image design is spot on. That said, this is a very strong image.
You might want to lose the little stub of a branch peeking out above the lichens ...
with love, a
Excellent Image. I like the tones in the image.
