Here's a shot from a few months ago when the shad were running through the Susquehanna River in MD. Shot with my Canon 1DX and 600mm f/4 IS II with the 1.4x Extender III. 1/3200 f/5.6 ISO 640. Processed in ACR and put into Topaz Labs AI Clear for minimal noise reduction and sharpening. Hope you enjoy, thanks for looking!

Hi Tony, I especially like the fish tail protruding from the fantail! Excellent definition and good wingspread. I would suggest revisiting the lower head area as it is in shadow and has a distinct green cast to it. Also, I think the head could be a bit more sharpened. I like an evidenced working eagle and this guy deserves a fish dinner.

Great capture Tony, the little head turn really helps the shot, and I'm a sucker for a good dorsal view. Love the fish tail as an extra!
Good suggestions from Ann above

Thanks for the feedback! I have a curves adjustment layer already on the underside of the head to remove some of that green cast but it’s definitely still there so I’ll bump that up a bit more.

A fine Eagle image with the tweets suggested. I like the gritty look...

Wow, very cool. Awesome banking flight path, and yes, the fish tail is a neat touch. If you are in to that type of processing I would also smooth out the faint BG line going up to the eagle's throat area. Highly appealing frame, a joy to look at!

Nice and dirty just like the eagles in my local. Love the dorsal view here. Nice to catch a glimpse of the fish as well.

Updated based on everyone's feedback, that green cast should be gone now in the shadow on its neck and I went ahead and added an unsharp mask layer to sharpen the head and feather detail on the dorsal a bit more. Also went in and smoothed out some of the sticky stuff in the background, think that looks much better now. And yeah this guy had definitely seen some battles in his time, normally stuff like the ragged feather on the left wing would bug me but it just adds character here I think. Thanks again for the C&C everyone!

superb light, IQ and details. that's a tack sharp clean shot. I like how we can see the tail of the fish but wish we could see more of it. This is a young bird, the head hasn't turned completely white yet. the head looks tack sharp in the OP
