I don't usually photograph wildlife, but this den had at least 3 kits. Two scampered down this hole, while the third lingered and let me photograph from across the street.
Nikon D80, Tamron 70-300 @ 300 mm, ISO 500, 1/60 @ f/6, overcast and on northside of a tree-covered hill. Processed in LR. A bit noisy, I know -- don't like to go this high ISO on this camera (maybe there's enough in the change dish so I can get a D300 or D3 :D ).

It looks a bit soft to me but it certainly is very cute and I like the picture as a whole. I might try cropping from the top to bring the kit into prominance a bit more.

Bruce,
Nice environmental image showing the den and fox. Focus is to the BG and the fox is OOF which hurts the image.

Hi Bruce,
Agree with above comments. you should try and work this area a bit more as fox kits are prime subjects. Try popping the 1.4 on and you may not have to approach as close thus allowing them their comfort zone!

Focus issue has been touched upon. Composition is nice. I am sure the D300 will help.
