Heron Lake, New Mexico. Osprey have gradually started to make Heron-El Vado lake area their home, with one nesting pair originally sighted in 2000. This year, there are 17 nesting pairs documented in the area.
Beautiful flight capture of the osprey Gary and I love the wing position. However it appears to have a slight blue cast on my monitor.and I would be tempted to remove the branches at the bottom and add a little more canvas on the top and bottom and perhaps a tad on the left. The head turn and talons are outstanidng in this capture. Many thanks for sharing.

You can only convert a picture so many times, somehow i hit the button more than once. Hope this is a little better.

Your repost has improved the coloring of the osprey a lot. It is such wonderful action that you captured in this image that it is definitely worth correcting and a definite keeper.

The repost looks much better colorwise. Pose and eye contact look good. The whites appear a bit overexposed, highlight recovery (?) made those areas look somewhat gray and the tail feathers look partially blue. Definitely worth to give it another try.

Hey Gary,
Possible corrections already mentioned and the 2nd re-post sure is better.........very nice on the eye and wing position! Tail spread is a huge plus also but agree a bit blue.

I love the powerful pose here Gary, but even the repost looks a bit awkward to me. The whites on the leg and chest look washed out.

I think this is well worth some more experimentation, neither post looks entirely correct to me.

Sharp as all get-out and a wonderful pose but I am betting that there is a much better image there than in either post...
Can you post a jpeg of the converted RAW image with no burned pixels and let some of us have a crack at it? If you do I can create a more pleasing image in about 120 seconds... Sometimes folks forget the basics and overdo things...
