Classic pose with a great view of that eye. Love the bark/growth and the other trunk as OOF BG. Only wish for more room but like it as is. TFS
I like the tight crop for this bird.. Nice.
Details on the bird look great. Like the light and that catch light in the eye. Less of a head turn would have been nice.
I love the "nuthatch" pose here. Excellent details. I agree that the head is turned too much (IMO), but at the same time it would not be as nicely lit had it been turned towards you. A better light angle would have helped with the very neat lichens near the belly, but of course that is what you had to work with. I love that beautiful eye.
