A northern harrier taken a couple weeks ago. Seems like we've had endless cloudy days here lately. Pretty standard processing for me, NR at RAW and in Photoshop.
Camera: Nikon D500
Lens: 200-500mm f/5.6 at 500mm
Specs: 1/2000 f/5.6 ISO 2,500

Very nice look at you from this grey host, I like the wing position and the habitat you included. Sure wish for some sun for you!

Nice one! I like the intense stare and you did very well capturing the bird coming towards you. Wing position and pose works great!
Good exposure, BG and I especially like those straws. Not a big fan of grey skies but it does compliment the colors of the rest of the image nicely.

Nice you caught the male. The pose is nice also like the composition on this one as well.

Nice flight pose and good eye contact. Exposure looks good. It has been fun shooting this guy, despite the cloudy days.

I like the wing position, exposure, IQ, setting and complimentary BG. Composition wise I find the bird a little too centered for my taste. Excellent image Alex.

Love the harrier and the wing position.
IQ looks good.
My only wish would be that the harrier was solidly in the colored BG and not the sky. I would still be very pleased to have this frame in my files,

Killer good. And I love these grasses too! I do wish that the bird were a bit higher in the frame but still very envious :). I love the soft light for all the underwing detail it allows ...
with love, artie

Thanks all -- much appreciated. I agree re: fully in the colored part of the BG or in the sky. Best,
