Really nice Kevin! Great pose with perfect exposure on both bird and snow. I don't think a few points of black would hurt just to get a bit ore contrast. I might crop in a touch closer, but I'm very subject forward! More personal preference than anything else. Strong frame regardless.
Very nice Kevin! I always wanted to see one of the North American Sharptails!
Well exposed shot, great low angle and wonderfull light. The grass in the foreground is a bonus! The pose is spot on and I really like the head angle even if the head feels a bit soft to me. Maybe a bit of contrast and sharpening would do the job?
I would not crop any tighter but I would remove the small brownish patch in the top right.
Superb setting, bird, image design, EXP, SH, pose and image. Way to go!!
with love, artie
This is really good...Absolutely no nits here...Very well captured. Good work Kevin.

Sweet frame. Love the pose and that glistening snow.
This is really nice. I got to see these guys lekking last year. Too far for pics but such a joy to watch and listen to. I like everything here. Great pose, great details. All I would do is take a bit off of the top of the frame. Would crop from just below the dark wedge in the top right. Then I would select the head and smart sharpen at 70 and .3.
