Taken from my back garden hide, (sunflower seeds were bait). Inevitably he perched on the least desirable area of twig!

Well, it looks pretty darned good to me. Love the look back the SH on the face, and the BKGR. Is the left part of the perch in shadow?
with love, artie
Thanks Artie glad you like it. Yes left side of perch was in deep shadow due to feeder, I lifted the darker area some, I lowered luminosity on the brighter lichens.
Like the IQ of this frame, Jonathan. All the shades of grey on this beauty, and that lovely smooth BG. Excellent detail.

This is really, really nice! Exposure is right on and it couldn't be sharper. great eye contact and the perch is nice as well. Bravo!
Very nice. Nice pose, nice perch and a nice background.
Awesome detail exposure and pose from the bird. Nice BG as well. Shadow noted. TFS
Looking real good Jon. I rarely see these birds where I live. I think you captured this one real good and the colours look spot on. Nice pose, BG and perch. Well done.

Thanks very much everyone, glad you liked it. Artie I agree entirely, during a shoot I currently have to move the perch twice every session due to sun movement and orientation, needless to say when I moved the perch he didn't reappear!
