This is from a set up hide in Scotland where there are 3 regular sparrow hawks that come in, either for bait or for the sheer number of woodland birds that frequent the site. On this occasion there were 2 hawks within a few feet of each other, and this one seemed to take exception of the other one invading his space

Pretty neat! I like the perch and BG, and the expression is good too. I do admit that I wish for a better wing position though. I love the eye!

Great bird, pose and setting. Love the background and calling pose. The whole image looks a little too washed out to me like too much NR was applied. There is not as much details in the foliage as I think there should be either.

Very cool set up. Nice perch and BG and I like the calling pose. I saw one of these birds in the UK a couple years back, very cool. I'd love to get a shot of one. TFS

Looking good Mike...Fab colours throughout with nice detail, especially around the head area. I know the hide, never been there, but thought of going. Is it worth the trip, well looking at this it must be.

Thanks for all the comments everyone - regarding the wing position it was a stare off with another bird rather than a take off pose, so Im guessing its more of a threatening way of holding wing position to make himself look big
