Hi John, was this under exposed?
The image is quite grainy and if the light was from behind, so the face was 'in shadow' then this would have worked better IMHO as a backlit image. Like the colours.

Hi Jon ... like the idea of the shot , and the running pose in your direction is great . Like the lifted front legs and the backlight situation . From the technical aspect ...it is a bit problematic , i do agree with Steve about that .
With the latest postings you have presented a higher noise level ???? Why ?

Looking at the image I suspect the background/surroundings were exposed reasonably OK, consequently the buck was underexposed and you have (I think) increased exposure overall. I am rather puzzled at the apparent noise for ISO 1600, this leads me to think the image was perhaps underexposed. I think your processing has increased exposure a little too much that is why the noise is so apparent.
