Hello John,
Lovely pose from this White-tail buck and nice framing too.
Light certainly wasn't on your side, despite high ISO the SS is quite low - this usually isn't a problem with your images because you have steady hands, but in this case the subject was moving.
Colours and tonality look good to me. Curious what the others have to say, I personally feel some of the IQ was lost here and the cropping might have contributed to that as well.
Overall a nice image and I think you did well under the circumstances, thank you so much for sharing!
Kind regards,
I like the pose but not the angle from which it is taken. IQ isn't terrific because ISO is quite high for 5D IV. Well focused /exposed.
Hi John a lovely pose and behaviour shot .... agree with the others about IQ .
I an ideal world it needs to go portrait i think , to avoid the busy infocus LHS . You can lower the effect by not sharpening the area ....or lowering the contrast with negative clarity in LR ( used with the local adjustment brush ) .
Just asking what is a medium crop for you ? I would rather keep the crop looser and hold the IQ , instead of loosing the same .
TFS Andreas
