Wow that has impact! Great idea, I do feel however there is some conflict, my senses are bombarded with the sky and sea colours but I want to look at the bird and as soon as I do I am distracted. Perhaps making the backdrop a little less dramatic would help??
Love the creativity...agree with Jonathan...perhaps a different position for the Killdeer so that the head does not merge with the sun?
