Neat frame. Looks like the brakes are on. Nice green background to go with the green heron.
Sharp with a killer BKGR. In an ideal world the bird would have been angling slightly toward you rather than slightly away, and the near wing would have been fully angled upwards for braking while still allowing for the great view of the dorsal surface of the far wing.

ps: were you at the EXPO?
killer BG, ditto Artie re. wing position. This one looks a bit soft to my eye, looks like the focus didn't quite lock...

Thank you for the comments everyone.
Artie, yes I attended your post processing class at the expo. Picked up some good tips. Thank you.
Arash, I had to crop this one a little more than I would have liked which must be affecting IQ to some extent.
This photo shows just how difficult flight photography is and how good the top guys are. Beautiful background, fairly close subject, beautiful light but all of the elements did not line up 100%. I agree with Artie and Arash fully here. If the wings were up a little higher, the head angled a few degrees towards us and the photo were a little sharper it would be a real winner.
You are welcome. Did you introduce yourself ?

Hello Allen, Agree with above comments as these guys are quick lil buggers, great BG, and i like the light on the heron, just needed more wing and more HA, keep trying!
