Love these charismatic gulls. Details look very nice and i really like the top side view. Being super picky I wish the head was turned just a couple degrees more towards us. Also there seems to be too much blue in the gray of the mantle and wings.
Sharp with a nice dorsal view. No quibbles from me.

ps: how much of a crop? I ask because that looks like a lot of d-o-f for f/8 ...
A second thought; going into first winter plumage (or first basic plumage).

Hi Will, great banking pose, and the angle shows off the top side so well. Exposure looks good, nice and sharp, and well separated from the BG.
