I like the banking pose, exposure, composition and complimentary BG. I like this one the best of your gull images so far. Well done John.
Quite lovely. You might consider opening up the shadow with some NIK CEP Detail Extractor or my 50/50 recipe.

Nice, just enough of a tilt towards us to show the dorsal feathers. The gray sky works nicely here too.
Very nice indeed John, you have rendered the greys and whites beautifully. I like the composition and the very sharp eye along with the ring.
You may consider lifting the darkest tones a tad.
Occasionally we get a ring billed gull nearby in New Brighton, I'll keep my ear to the ground for sightings.
Lighting, wing pose, and composition are all lovely. Agree with opening up the blacks a bit.
