Looks pretty good for ISO 3200, John. Wet bird, rain, and perch are very nice, and I think you can get away with the OOF tree behind him as it is so far away.
Great job with the exposure, the over the shoulder pose, and the head angle. I would lose the stick low right of the bird.

ps: if you had move one foot to your left the bird's head would have been set against whiter sky instead of the darker branch ...

Nice framing and the motion in the rain is a lovely touch. Good point by Artie about moving to your right if at all possible. If it was mine I'd be tempted to darken the BG on the left a little as the bright whites are a bit overpowering.
