I continue to dig through old files for something I haven't previously posted. Here's another white bird on green water (sorry Ann). From Brigantine in 2016. Maybe if I had had the D500 at the time, the increased frame rate would have caught the far wing fully raised. :w3
Haha, green green everywhere, but this water has interesting colors and ripples, I kinda like it! egret looks fantastic Bill! I like the momentum you captured, the splash at its feet, open wings and the whites look spot on. I do like that sliver of blue in the water. Lovely frame Bill.

Good self-critique. Otherwise, quite nice :)
with love, artie
ps: I hear you on frame rate -- I used my D5 all day today ..

Brig is not easy to shoot at so you did well Bill. Bird really pops against the green water. Agree re the wing position. If it were fully up you would have a real winner here. I would crop out the whites of the bird in the reflection as I do not think it adds anything to the shot and add the same amount of room above the bird.

Great action, Bill. The perfect exposure really cracks on the soft green. I agree with Isaac that the white reflection could be cut. It does more
to distract that it lends.

Thank you all. I wondered how much of the white reflection to include. I certainly could have cropped a bit tighter on the bottom.
