Though I am not a huge fan of boxy crops this one works. You did a good job all around.

Looks pretty good Gerhard, especially with 7D2 and 2X! Perch adds a nice bit of color. Unlike Artie, I've recently come around to embrace the 8x10 (versus 2x3) for portrait orientation.
I think it works well here!
It's just on the edge of being too tight in the frame for me, but still on the OK side. Cute bird perched on a neat perch. I like the faint reddish hue at the top.
You handled this situation well. Nice pose and perch. Good background. Maybe a little more room around the bird.
Hi Gerhard, looking at the thumbnail/subject, and knowing your previous post was from Rietvlei, I guessed this Stonechat could only have been captured there. Good angled pose, and nicely in the open. Another killer BG from Rietvlei.
