Captured this (almost-white) tern on an iceberg in the Jokulsarlon Lagoon, Iceland, in 2016. I liked the pose and setting.

Grat wings up pose and the landing on the ice is a nice change to what is normally seen. Unfortunately the head looks a little soft to me

Cold feet... interesting since I have only seen these on beaches and piers. Everything looks good to me, I might try to open the blacks a tad but not sure since I did not work on the image. Thank you for sharing, Bill.
I really like the cold blue ice and the raised wings which makes for a very dramatic image. I agree that the blacks of the head could benefit from going a bit brighter and trying to eke out some more details.
Hi Bill, fond memories of these "longest distance" migrators! Image isn't up to your usual standards Bill, what immediately stands out to me is the eye, looks as though there was an edit. Also, details in the whites and blacks are not there... Maybe a rework, TFS
It looks pretty nice to me. Love the raised wing and the ice. Don't you hate when the ice gets dirty?
with love, artie
Thank you all. I hesitated to post this, for the reasons noted by Ann and others. I did my best in post to pull out some more detail, but I don't think the details are there. Not sure why. But I did like the pose and environment.
