Hi John,
I love the way you brought out the iridescence in the green head and coverts. This is key to achieving a good image of a green winged teal!
I like the BG water and the shade of blue and the little mound the teal is standing on.
I find the stalks very distracting and would eliminate the OOF stalk nearest to the duck. In an ideal situation, none of the stalks would be there,

The iridescence of the green on the wings shows up nicely and I like Artie's improvement.
I agree with Gail and would remove the stalk just left of the bird.
