I shot this image at sunset. I choose to reduce the Yellow cast.
Post Processing:-
Cropping, Dodging and Burning at the top right hand.
Noise Reduction using Neat Image.

I like the narrow d-o-f and the low perspective. Though it is soft, I find the line of the grass through the bird's head distracting. You did a good job of getting parallel to the subject and working with the 90 degree off angle light. Lastly, a stare right down the lens barrel would have made this one stronger.

I like the soft color tones but the head angle is tough. It looks like he's missing an eye!

I agree with Artie re: head angle. The colour palette is very nice, nothing distracting in the foreground or background, and I like where he is placed in the frame. I would have stood up a bit to get the brown-green line above his head instead of running through the neck.
