My first photo since returning from Colombia! I had some muted
late-day light in San Diego where I collected this shot last week.
Shorebirds are my favorite subjects, so I can't wait for these guys to
return to their NorCal + SF Bay wintering grounds in the next few months.

The bird 'pops' nicely against the BG. I like the flight pose you captured. Tones and detail on the bird look good. Lovely HA. I like your crop.

Such drab birds when standing, really come to life in flight. You caught his in a good flight pose with nice background.

Super shot I like the tones and detail, excellent light. Pose good and the sea provides a non intrusive backdrop.

Shorebirds are my favorite as well, and so happy we are in the middle of their fall migration! I love the dorsal view, and the split primary feathers on each wing. I'm OK with the colour of the water, but am wondering if the subject is a touch too blue? I'd try adding a couple of points of reds to see what that does.

Ditto all the positives above. I am pretty sure that the "split primary" look is because the third primary on each wing is growing in.
