Not sure how I was able to frame it this way, but I did....and call me weird but after more than a year repeatedly staring at this photograph it became one of my favorite Macaque photographs.
I'll be the first one to call you weird ;) :D :p (inkoppertje) , I don't know if I would call it your best photo of the Japanese Macaque series but it sure is different from what you mostly see. I like the action, and open mouth and of course the water splash. This photo is leaving me wondering if it was being chased into the water or if it was jumping in just for fun (bommetje!!!). A very cool and different photo.

I like it a lot jasper !!! Unconventional and beautiful Shutter speed worked out perfect for giving enough detail on the face while giving the right feel for the snow !!!

Great capture Jason! That certainly is NOT your typical monkey image! I love the water splash and the way you can just barely make out the monkey behind it. Very interesting to look at - it really holds my attention, that's for sure!
